Wrestler Sushil Kumar wins Olympic bronze medal for India taking India's tally of medals in the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
Sushil Kumar contested in the 66kg Freestyle Wrestling at Beijing Olympics and beat Spiridonov of Kazhakastan in the bronze medal bout. The Indian boxer gained access to the bronze medal round thru the repecharge round even though he lost in the first round. The Last time an Indian Wrestler won a medal was when K D Yadav won the bronze medal in Wrestling in 1952 Olympic Games Helsinki.
